With restaurant 't Amsterdammertje In Loenen aan de Vecht, something special happened around Christmas: guests who ordered a dessert were served on a special tray with a video.
The 'presentation tray' was created from a collaboration between 't Amsterdammertje and PixioCard. We developed a tray with a glass dish for the dessert with an LCD video screen next to it. Guests who visited the restaurant around Christmas were served the dessert on the special tray. A warm Christmas greeting was played on the LCD screen.
Enthusiastic
According to maître and sommelier Jouke de Bruin, the new presentation form was well received. “Guests were very enthusiastic about the use of a video message with the dessert.” Visitors to the restaurant can also expect the special dessert presentation in 2015. 't Amsterdammertje will continue the experiment with the presentation trays, but of course with a different video message.
Other presentation projects
In addition to the presentation tray at 't Amsterdammertje, PixioCard has a number of other projects underway in which we incorporate video into a tangible presentation product.
For example, we are currently working on a prototype of a presentation folder with videos in A4 format. We also have a luxury video box which is used for product presentation. Philips uses this for example for presenting samples to retailers.
